This is a repeat from a while back, but I wanted to remind you that burial has been the practice of Christians from the Old Testament up until recent days. As a friend mentioned to me recently, burial points to our belief in the resurrection, while cremation goes along with the notion that there is nothing left after this life. CREMATION is NOT a SIN (at least it doesn’t seem to be one, but I think it may be one of those areas where it was assumed that no believer would ever choose to be cremated). But I do think it robs us of a chance to witness to our belief that Christ is coming back for us and I think it shows respect for God’s creation. Read Dr. Russell Moore’s article on it below.
